Encirca remains at the top of our April 2010 .pro reg fee survey with new reg and transfer fees of USD $14.95, and renewal fees of $19.95. This is unchanged from our December 2009 survey.

Domain People and Hostway have gone in separate directions since our last survey with Domain People pushing up the price of transfers and renewals to $35 while Hostway have temporarily discounted the cost of new reg, transfers and renewals to $14.95. We have downgraded and upgraded our star ratings for these registrars accordingly. We still have concerns about service quality and long term pricing.

Gandi and OVH prices are converted back to USD from GBP. GBP has weakened against USD since our last survey so their prices have improved slightly but they are still higher than other .pro registrars.

Our advice to .pro registrants is unchanged, switch to Encirca, they are the biggest .pro registrar by volume and have a long track record of keeping prices low and the best reputation among .pro enthusiasts for good customer service.
